Position Description

Pride Health is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse – Med Surg to support our client’s medical facility in Durango, Colorado. This contract opportunity is an excellent way to begin working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patients/families to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care that meets physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patients’ psychosocial, cultural, and medical backgrounds.
  • Perform various clinical procedures, including IV therapy, wound care, catheterization, and medication administration with precision and care.
  • Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and rights while fostering a respectful and inclusive care environment.
  • Educate patients and families based on their readiness to learn, ensuring understanding of treatments, medications, and care plans.
  • Mentor new staff, delegate responsibilities effectively, and pursue ongoing professional growth to maintain excellence in clinical practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Colorado State or Compact RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • Over 1 year of recent Med/Surg
  • Additional Information:
  • Location: Durango, Colorado
  • Job Type: 13-week contract. Possible extension
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts - Night shift (7:00 PM start)
  • Travel Pay Range: $2,000.00 to 2,055.00 weekly

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
